Foggy River Outdoors is a small home-based business that is owned and operated by Woodie Cain of Port Gibson, Mississippi. Woodie is a lifelong outdoorsman. He is extremely knowledgable about his area of the country and the wildlife that reside there. He is an advocate of responsible hunting and fishing and is currently serving his second term as President of the Mississippi Trappers Association. He is also one of the few people who are called upon by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks to remove nuisance animals.

He enjoys everything about the outdoors: hunting, fishing, trapping, recreational camping... you name it, if it has to do with the outdoors, he's probably into it!

In his down time, Woodie enjoys spending time with his wife, Vecie, and son, Michael. Luckily, they enjoy the out of doors almost as much as Woodie does. Woodie and Michael have worked tirelessly with their Labrador Retriever, Tucker, to make him one of the best retrievers in the area. Tucker lives to get in the woods (or the water) and enjoys every single moment of it! Don't be intimidated by him... he just wants to play fetch!

He makes his living most days plying his trade as a welder. He is known locally for making quality metalworks, including some of the finest hog traps you've ever laid your eyes on. He got into making game calls simply because he had some wood and was looking for a good way to spend a rainy day without being in front of the television. The Hunter's Hanger was, admittedly, someone else's idea but their product lacked some features that Woodie wanted. He improved the idea and started making them for himself right up until some friends saw them and wanted a few for themselves.

He's become a permanent fixture on Paul Ott's Listen to the Eagle radio and television show, which is broadcast statewide in Mississippi. Paul, a lifelong conservationist and Mississippi icon, says that Woodie brings "a new life and hard dose of reality" to the show and is "glad to have him on the show every week."
